Fun Weekend

This was definitely a fun-filled weekend, too bad it's back to work tomorrow! We went to the Toby Keith concert Friday night with our good friends - Peder & Danielle and Ryan & Jill. Dan has seen Toby before but it was my first country concert, and it couldn't have been more fun. Well, except for the torrential rain we had to drive through to get there and the drizzling rain in the parking lot, but once we got in the Amphitheatre it finally stopped raining. Toby put on a great show! The only downside was that after the concert Dan stepped in a huge fire ant pile and got bit by a ridiculous amount of ants (he estimates over 40 bites - ouch!) Saturday we went to dinner with Dan's parents and then today we went to a friend's house to watch the USA vs Brazil soccer game. Unfortunately USA lost but it was nice to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends. Now it's back to work, but we're looking forward to the long 4th of July weekend. :-)

Starting a blog ...

OK, here we go ... after contemplating the whole blog thing for a while, I have decided to just go ahead and start one. Now that Dan and I are officially "The Jandernals", I figured this would be a fun and easy way to let our friends and family know what's going on with us, and a good way to keep in touch with people.

Dan and I are settling in to married life quite nicely. We just had a nice Father's Day dinner with his parents and grandmother at our place (my mom is still in Argentina), and it was a great chance to pull out a lot of our wedding gifts that we had yet to debut.

Tomorrow is our 2-month anniversary, how exciting! Not sure how long we'll celebrate month-to-month wedding anniversaries, but I'm going to try to keep it up for most of the year. :-) Just for fun, here's a picture of us newlyweds from our honeymoon.
