Brian is 30!!!

Brian has finally turned the big 3-0! To celebrate the big day we threw him a surprise party ... there was a lot of planning but not surprisingly the hardest part was getting Brian to actually agree to come over! We told him it was an early birthday dinner, and he had so many reasons to change the date, time, anything really. We thought Dan was going to have to tell him "Look, you're coming over because 35 of your friends will be there waiting to say SURPRISE!" but luckily he eventually agreed to come over. :-)

Millie wore a special shirt for the occasion ...

Here I am trying to get Brian to put on the obligatory birthday crown ...

it took a while ...

but I finally got him to not only wear it but smile for a picture too!

On his actual birthday Kevin and Linda took us all to Longhorn for dinner - it was so good!

Now Brian will get Birthday Dinner #3/Early Easter Dinner with Gram and my mom this Sunday. Next week my mom and I are off to Barcelona for a cruise - can't wait!

Lots of birthdays ... and a carnival!

As usual, its been a busy few weeks! Addison, our good friend's daughter turned 4 a few weeks ago, and her birthday party was at a gymnastics studio in Tampa. It was so cute, all the kids had different activities to keep them entertained - a little tubmling, playing with a huge parachute, and then they got to play in the kid's area with trampolines, rope swings and a zip line. And of course snacks and cake upstairs! Addy had a geat time, and then we (and a few other parents with their kids) went back to Jay & Shannon's for dinner and to hang out.

This past Saturday we went to the carnival (yes, it was in the mall parking lot, but I swear once you were in the middle of all the rides it didn't feel like you were at the mall ... until you looked up and saw the Macy's sign). We went with Jeff and Alicia and had a blast with the bumper cars, house of mirrors, the scrambler, and of course carnival games. I came home with a wolf stuffed animal, a tiara, and two goldfish! Unfortunately the goldfish (which were named Jim and Pam from The Office) did not make it very long - one made it through one night and the other through two nights.

The next day was my mom's birthday. Dan and I took her to the Safety Harbor Spa for brunch, it was delicious and she enjoyed her birthday. After brunch we walked around the resort a little and took some pictures by the water. From there we went by the house to pick up Millie, then went to visit Gram for a while. Gram loves seeing Millie - and vice versa!

Yesterday was my grandmother's birthday - 94 years old! My mom picked up Carraba's (Yiayia's favorite) and we had dinner at Yiayia's house. My mom made a delicious chocolate cake and brought candles, not 94 though, only 4! We sang Happy Birthday and then headed home to watch American Idol. :-)
