Memorial Day Weekend Wrapup

Phew - what a weekend! We went into the weekend with no plans at all, and ended up with a super-busy weekend, how does that happen?? Dan and I were very excited to have a three-day weekend to relax and spend some quality time with Bradley. Friday night Peder and Danielle came over, and the boys watched the Lightning game while the girls went to the movies. Unfortunately the Lightning lost ... it would have been great to have them play for the Stanley Cup. Bradley stayed up way past his bedtime and didn't go to sleep until 11:00! Oh, but the only upside to the Lightning losing was Dan shaving off his "playoff beard" which I documented below.

Saturday afternoon we packed up and went to the Corrado's house and had a great time. Bradley went in the pool for the first time!! I have been so looking forward to getting our little monkey in the pool; he absolutely loves his bath time so we figured he'd love the pool too. I bought him a rash guard and swim diapers and put him in some cute shark swim trunks. And he loved it! Check out the sweet Bradley and Daddy pictures from the pool ..

Sunday brought some more Memorial Day Weekend fun. The Corrados, Brian and my mom came over to grill out and enjoy our newly screened-in patio. The pool is still a little green so there was no swimming (I edited the pictures to make it look more blue!) but hopefully this will be taken care of in the next week so our pool will be open for business. The screen looks great and it makes the patio/pool area look HUGE!

Bradley and Joshua got to spend some more quality time together even though they each had their mini-meltdown moments but hey, they're only 5 1/2 months old. We had delicious food and had fun, and Bradley stayed up past his bedtime for the third night in a row. Here you can see Bradley in awe of the pinwheel.

Monday was a busy morning with Dan mowing the lawn and me cleaning up all the dishes from the night before and we could not wait to just lay on the couches and relax. Our neighbors invited us over to their house for a Memorial Day grillout which normally I would've been all over, but we had to pass. And that was our long weekend. Here are a few more pictures of Bradley from the past week or so. He has discovered his feet and thinks they are the greatest thing ever! I think he's the greatest thing ever ...  : )

Bradley is still in love with Sophie, he can spend a lot time trying to get all of her feet in his mouth at the same time.

Bradley is also practicing sitting up. He's not quite there yet (he immediately starts leaning forward until his belly is on his legs) but he gets an A for effort! And he is good at sitting in regular chairs for short periods of time.
