We bought a convertible!!!

No, not that kind of convertible. As of last weekend, I am now the proud owner of a convertible car seat. Yay!!!!!! Although Bradley's infant carrier/car seat has a weight limit of 30 lbs it was just getting way too heavy for me. I Googled the Chicco car seat and it weighs 21.1 lbs all by itself. And Bradley weighs 21 lbs. No thank you. Now Dan is using it full time in his car and I have this beauty installed in mine -
{Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat}

I did all my research before purchasing, and per the Consumer Reports safety tests this one scored highest in crash protection and was their #1 overall pick. The Britax seat I was eyeing came in at #6, and is a lot pricier. Obviously safety is the most important thing, but saving a little $$ at the same time is an added bonus. Plus I had a 20% off Babies R Us coupon - score! It comes with a little cup holder but the manual states it is not to be used in the rear-facing position. Guess it's a good thing Bradley has not mastered the sippy cup yet. Not even close. When he does manage to get some water out of it, he spits most of it out onto himself. But back to the new car seat ... I snapped a picture of Bradley after his first ride in his big boy seat (taken on my phone so not the greatest picture)

I think he likes the extra room, and Mommy likes it when her back doesn't hurt. Win win.
