Is There a Pause Button??

With Bradley's birthday only three weeks away, I kind of wish there was a pause button that we could push to keep him as the adorable little baby he is. I am so excited for my little guy to turn one but at the same time I'm finding it so very bittersweet because he'll only ever be this little once and time is just going by way too quickly. Dan and I were looking at all of his monthly birthday pictures last night and it's amazing how much he's grown and changed over the past eleven months. Pretty soon he'll be walking and talking and I just don't know if I'm ready for all that. We also discussed his transition to the one-year old room where he'll be drinking from sippy cups instead of bottles (well, we're working on that one) and eventually sleeping on a cute little cot instead of a crib for his naps. Yikes!

And since I have been looking back at pictures from when B was teeny tiny I decided to pop in my Taylor Swift CD from last fall that I has listened to so many times when I was pregnant. No joke, that was pretty much the soundtrack to my drives to and from work. Bradley would start kicking when certain songs came on, that is how much we listened to it. Not sure if those kicks meant "Yay!" or "Mom please, please, please turn something else on!" Either way, that was our soundtrack.

One song in particular was just so perfect - "Never Grow Up" - and to this day every time I hear it I get all teary eyed thinking of my little baby and how he is growing up way too fast. I searched for the video to the song but it looks like Taylor hasn't made it yet (seriously, what is the hold up??) but here is what I was able to find on YouTube.

On top of all this growing up stuff that Bradley is doing, both last night and this morning he decided to test his balance and let go of the Pack & Play while he was standing. B stood for about 3 seconds and then fell backwards both times. He'll get the hang of it soon enough, but for right now I just want my little baby to never grow up ...
