But this time it was not just a daycare cough. Dan took Bradley to the pedi Monday morning and sure enough he has a sinus infection. The last one might not have totally gone away, even though after taking the full round of antibiotics all his symptoms were gone.
Monday morning was a little scary because when B woke up he was breathing harder and faster than usual, which made this mommy freak out a little. After some snuggle time and watching his friends Muno and Brobee on Yo Gabba Gabba, B's breathing pretty much went back to normal. Since it was almost 6:00 a.m. we figured we'd just wait until the doctor's office opened at 7:00 to make him an early appointment. We know from experience that waiting for the office to open, making an appointment and going to said appointment is still faster than going to the ER and waiting to be seen by one of their doctors. And like I said, the breathing wasn't scary anymore.
On top of another 10-day round of antibiotics for the sinus infection, B was also prescribed steroids for his nebulizer for 7 days because the pedi found he was wheezing a little. Despite all of this B has still been in a good mood, playing and laughing, which makes me a happy mommy. He's a little trooper for sure!
And he's still a little sweetheart too. While we were playing in his playroom after dinner last night he must have stopped playing to give me hugs about 12 times. It melts my heart each and every time :)
In not-sick news, we think Bradley is getting really close to walking. He loves for us to walk with him around the house and he is so proud of himself when he's able to stand on his own (unsupported). His grin goes from ear to ear. In the past couple weeks he has also mastered getting off the couch on his own. Pretty soon we are going to have a fully mobile toddler on our hands - Millie better watch out! Who am I kidding, we all better watch out.
And under the too-cute-not-to-share category, Bradley knows exactly what to do with his play phone. Neither of us specifically taught him this, but every time he sees it he puts it right up to his ear. Then he passes one of us the phone so we can talk. So cute! Last night we let him play with the real phone for a few minutes so if anyone gets any hang up calls, it's probably Bradley calling to say hi!
